Willow Camille Reign Smith (born October 31, 2000), known professionally as Willow, is an American singer, actress and dancer. She is the daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, the younger sister of Jaden Smith and the half-sister of Willard Carroll “Trey” Smith III. Smith made her acting debut in 2007 in the film I Am Legend and later appeared in Kit Kittredge: An American Girl alongside Abigail Breslin. She received a Young Artist Award for her performance.
Smith launched her music career in the autumn of 2010 with the release of the singles “Whip My Hair” and “21st Century Girl”, and signed to her current mentor Jay-Z’s record label Roc Nation, becoming the youngest artist signed to the label. “Whip My Hair” peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100. The video was nominated for Video of the Year at the BET Awards of 2011. She released her debut album, ARDIPITHECUS on 11 December 2015.

UNDRESSED: A BRIEF HISTORY OF UNDERWEAR. LINGERIE DESIGN’S ROLE IN HISTORY
From the iconic cone-shaped bra that Jean Paul Gaultier designed for Madonna in 1990 to present-day underwear/outerwear trends, embraced by many designers also for 2016 Spring – from Gucci to Dries Van Noten to Balenciaga through Givenchy – lingerie has always had a key role in our daily life, in our imagination and in fashion. And it is precisely to underwear and to its diverse roles in history that the Victoria and Albert Museum dedicates the exhibition Undressed: A Brief History of Underwear (from April 16, 2016 through March 12, 2017.)
The exhibition tells the story of underwear design from the 18th to the present day, considering its functional, practical and personal aspects and its rapport with fashion. Underwear as a weapon of seduction, thanks to refined textiles and sophisticated cuts, or a way to provoke and challenge conventions. Underwear’s role of protecting and covering the body, worn to practice sports or during pregnancy, but also lingerie items that enhance, slim, support, create volume. Like the corset and its evolution throughout the centuries, or the push-up bra, so popular in the 1990s.
On display will be over 200 examples of underwear for men and women from 1750 to present day, including corsets, crinolines, boxer shorts and bras as well as hosiery, garter belts and loungewear garments worn for home entertainment, including a long silk dress by Paul Poiret from 1911, embroidered lounge pyjamas from the 1920s and a 1970s caftan.
Many designers today are fascinated by the relationship between underwear/outerwear, and challenge conventions about public and private and the classic and “intimate” use of lingerie. See John Galliano sheer dress worn over lace knickers for Givenchy couture (S/S 1996), the iconic logoed exposed underwear by Calvin Klein peeking out above low-crotch slouchy jeans in the 1990s, the transparent Liza Bruce slip dress flaunted by Kate Moss in 1993, or the trompe l’oeil monochrome corset dress by Antonio Berardi (S/S 2009) donned by Gwyneth Paltrow.
